Fraternal Order of Eagles was founded February 6, 1898 in Seattle, Washington by 6 theater owners.  They were competitors coming together to discuss a musicians strike.  After working together to handle the strike, they all agreed to “Bury the Hatchet” and form an organization dubbed “The Independent Order of Good Things.”

April 1898, membership formed the Grand Aerie and the name was changed to The Fraternal Order of Eagles or F.O.E.  Please read more about our history and how and where the Auxiliary began.
